At NCCU, major gifts are those valued at $25,000 or more. NCCU’s major gift officers work with donors and friends to identify giving opportunities that align their needs with those of the university. Major gifts may be used to endow scholarships or programs. Endowed funds provide NCCU’s Foundation with an annual income stream that enables the university to make these strategic investments while preserving the principal gift in perpetuity.  Major gifts may also be used to renovate or construct new facilities or purchase costly equipment. For additional information about any of the following giving opportunities, please e-mail the Kevin Wilson at kwilso58@nccu.edu.

Restricted scholarships or fellowships

A gift of $25,000 or more is required to establish a named endowment for either scholarship support for undergraduate students or fellowship support for graduate students. The interest income is allocated to the students’ needs while the principal remains intact in perpetuity.

Capital projects

Modern and attractive facilities are necessary to draw and serve the best and brightest students and faculty. Various naming opportunities are available throughout all athletics facilities.
